    Monitor to Video Card Problem

    Hello everyone,

I'm looking for help...I have a Westinghouse L2210NW monitor (with a second one on the way) and I have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 video card in my computer.  I just used a DVI-I to VGA cable to connect the video card (via DVI-I) to the monitor (via VGA)...now here's the problem:

I now have an available space in my video card (VGA) and a DVI-D connection on my monitor (24+1) NOT (24+5)...I need to find a way to connect my second monitor to my desktop...does anyone know of a good adapter/connector to connect these two?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Monitor to Video Card Problem

unfortunately you can not go from vga (on the gpu) to DVI (on the monitor) without the use of special converters that tend to cost more than a new gpu with dual dvi does. Beer

Re: Monitor to Video Card Problem

Yep. If your monitors support VGA, you can just connect them both through VGA connections.

But if they don't, the best thing to do is just get a dual DVI output video card.
