Will the graphics be blurry using HDTV as monitor?

    Hey everyone,

I've been looking around for a HDTV to bring up to my dorm (probably around 32 inch 1080p) and I was planning to bring up my PC up as well. But I was wondering if the graphics will be blurry if I hook up my PC to the HDTV compared to a 23.6 LCD monitor (ASUS VH242H). My monitor is 1080p and I plan to connect my PC to a HDTV thats 1080p as well through an HDMI cable. The only difference would be the increase in screen size and maybe the response time.

Will the graphics still be clear? Would I be better off just getting a monitor that have a built in TV in it (around the same size as my current monitor?)

Thanks for the help, I googled some of the answers online and it seems that some people had been getting blurry graphics on the HDTV but it was cause the resolution was different.

The image wont be as good but should still be fine. Like you said you do have less pixels per inch so it will not look as good but still should not look bad.

I have a customer who wanted to look at his blue prints full size on his computer so we hooked up a 50" 1080p tv next to his main 22" monitor and he loves it.

HDTVs make incredible PC monitors. Of course on large 24" plus PC monitors you'll have higher resolutions, but you sit farther away when using the HDTV, so it balances out. I used my 62" DLP as my main monitor for years and it was very nice. Always good to have a normal monitor or two also though. I prefer a dual setup with the HDTV and one or two 24" monitors.

    I happily buy tech! Why wouldn't I?
