    Bizarre Sleep Voltage Issues

    Hello everyone,

I am unfortunately back with the same problem. I had this same exact problem on a different machine, with all different parts and a different OS. But my computer is perfectly stable for months, and as soon as I try to put it to sleep I start having voltage issues upon waking it up. The voltage goes all wacky, as a result my CPU runs at 79C, my computer runs uber slow and eventually starts corrupting files...and then starts killing off hardware. Last time this happened I lost 3 drives in the course of 2 days. The really odd part is that last time I couldnt get it to stop. Even restarting the computer and turning off sleep does stop the voltage issues. I was thinking before that it was the mobo or the OS. But the last machine had Vista, the new one Win7. The both have Asus boards but not the same one. These are the only two common threads in the two machines. Any ideas?

    Re: Bizarre Sleep Voltage Issues

First check the house power, make sure its a stabil 95-120v of power, no more, no less.

    (it happens)

What are you checking the voltages with?

Make sure there are no major appliances on the same circuit as your PC's.

    Post your specs up.

Definitely post the specs of your PSU. If you're using junky power supplies they might blow out like that.

But if they're perfectly good, brand name, top tier PSU's, I would get the wiring and home power lines checked.
