    FlashMax

Has anyone ever used FlashMax SDHC or CF cards? They're pretty cheap, but not much info out there on the web.

    Re: FlashMax

For cheap flash, I go with Transcend.. Not as fast as some of the other brands out there, but they get the job done.. I'm currently using two Transcend SDHC flash cards in two Transcend USB SDHC flash readers, one of them is in a Vista PC 24/7 and the other is in a Windows 7 PC 24/7 running ReadyBoost and I haven't had any issues.. I also have a Transcend SDHC card for my SD990IS camera and that card has been rained on and stepped on and it still works fine..

    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

Yeah, we've had good success with the Transcend cards. Especially for video related applications. There's lot's of good feedback out there about them. We're just always looking at other potential options! Thanks.

FashMax cards are okay. Pretty much what you'd expect from a value brand.

    I happily buy tech! Why wouldn't I?
