    Dell Inspiron 1100 memory

I have an Inspiron 1100 and I wanted to make sure that I DO NOT have to use two 512MB sticks and that I CAN use one 1GB stick in it.

    Thanks!

Google says the maximum the motherboard in that computer will support is 1GB, at 512MB per slot. So yes, you do have to use the 2x512MB.

Actually 512MB X2 is not bad at all. It enables dual channel and you will benefit from it.
