Hi,
I have a Dell Dimension 9100. The stock power supply is 375W, I beleive.
I currently have a GeForce 7900 GT/GTO and it seems to run fine on the power supply eventhough the suggested is 450W. Can't remember exactly what the amp rating is on the 12 v rail.
Anyway, I think it is a BTX case and I have tried upgrading the power supply before and they didn't fit, the screw holes did not line up.
Does anyone have any ideas for a power supply in the 600W range that will work? I am looking to get a GeForce 2xx series video card.
Or, as an alternative, would taking all the stuff out of the Dell case and putting it all in an ATX/BTX case and just getting an ATX power supply be a better idea?
Hopefully this post made sense....lol
Thanks in advance for any advice/input,
Matt
