Noob Needs Help Building a New computer

Okay so I just spent about maybe a hour or two looking at computer parts and now I'm afraid if they are compatable or not..
So can someone tell me if these are compatable? I'm mostly going to be playing games like Call of Duty 4, Borderlands, Counterstrike Source, Battlefield 2 or 2142, The Godfather game, and Fable: The Lost Chapters... Oh and would I need Thermal Compound for the CPU cooler or is does it come with it..?

    P.S. Ok yes I'm a noob..

Re: Noob Needs Help Building a New computer

Nothing wrong with being a noob as long as you know it and know when to ask for help which seems to be the smart move to make and you have made that move. Now just for your info you don't want to start off by limiting yourself with a Micro ATX mobo, second you want to take advantage of the 45nm CPU so you need to stepup to a P43 or P45 mobo, third you never want to buy a case with a PSU installed cause it will not be a top quality PSU and you need to make sure the case will handle the mobo and components and still give you good cooling and airflow. So having said all that here are my recomendations.

Re: Noob Needs Help Building a New computer

    Hmm.. well this fails..
My dad just limited my budget from 800 bucks to 600 bucks.. With you're recommendations and without a graphics card, its about 700 bucks.. :/
Is their similar computer parts but just cheaper..? Now I understand that 600 bucks isn't going to bring me anywhere, but I just want to upgrade from my ancient computer to a decent one... I'm not going to really upgrade my computer after I buy this one anyways meaning I'm not going to run crossfire or SLI so i don't really need more then one pci express 2.0 slot..

EDIT: YAY.. I finaly made a decent computer under 600 bucks! Can anyone please tell me if these are compatable..? (By the way, the power supply comes with the case but its all i can offord so.. :/
Would I need thermal greese/glue or whatever for the processor..?
(By the way, for the memory, I'm going to buy two of them)

Another Edit: Just learned I was on the wrong website.. I was searching in the US version. I live in canada.. :/ TIME TO SHOP SOME MORE
