HTPC : I want to eliminate my cable

I am upgrading my pc to an internet pc configuration. I have already upgraded to a Linksys  "N" wireless network and am planning on building an AMD Phenom based pc for my base. I am using Roadrunner Turbo at 12 mbps so the connection should not be an issue and I have found loads of network and cable programming, old westerns to the Military Channel.

My question is, what will I need to stream to 2 tvs? I do have an older pc that I have formatted with XP. I'm also open to any suggestions.

Thanks in advance for any responses,

    Mike Benko

Hello Mike it is hard to answer your question since you give us no specs for your riggs or the TVs nor do you say what kind of budget you have. Here is what I can tell you with the info you provided, if your TVs have DVI or HDMI connections and your VCs both have DVI or HDMI connections you can hook up directly from the VC to the TVs if your TVs are only cable style or RGB style hookup you will need an Audio/video reciever with at least two of the cable or RGB connections. Maybe with more info we could better advise you.

Re: HTPC : I want to eliminate my cable

I just checked, I have onboard graphics on my Athlon II dualcore computer with Windows 7,  6gb ram and 750 gb hdd space. On my Samsung DLP I have an HDMI port as well as 4 sets of component connections, 1 digital audio port and 4 standard a/v ports. On my Samsung HT I have an in and out HDMI ports and the rest are the same as the DLP. Again, my goal is to get rid of Time Warner cable programing and digital phone and replace them with internet programming and Magic Jack or comparable phone equipment.

    Thanks again for your responses,

I am assuming that the onboard video connector is either SVGA or VGA if this is so here is what you will need.
