IDE to SATA problem

    IDE to SATA problem

    I own a HP Pavilion a305w desktop computer, It is IDE

    I need to replace my old Liteon DVD Writer with a new Liteon DVD Writer, however all the new DVD Writers are SATA

    Is there some kind of attachment (converter) that I can buy so that I can buy the new DVD Writer and install it in my

    IDE computer?

    I have the female part that needs the male part to plug into.

    I hope I have explained my problem well enough for you to understand and help me.

    Try to exchange your SATA DVD to IDE DVD. there are tons of IDE DVDrom so u don't want to spend extra money for Adapter converter.  BTW, u don't need to get exact same model of your DVD just grap some decent DVD Rom. Like mine I use $20 DVD Rom Rewrite.
