    need help on compatability issue

I need to know if a video card with GDDR3,4 or 5 memory is compatable with a core 2 quad processor and windows 7. please let me know i need to make my purchase ASAP for my new computer. I am currently looking at a 256 bit 1GB vid card with DDR3 mem and I would like to put it with the mentioned components.

HAHAHA yes it is what makes you think that GDDR will not be compatible at any point, and what makes you think that it really has anything to do with the CPU and not the PCI-E slot?

Yes it has nothing to do with your processor and Windows 7

If your motherboard has PCI E slot, then Video card will work whether it has DDR3 4 OR5.

If the vendor of video card provides you the right drivers fow Windows 7, yup, the video card will work well with OS.

Just to make sure the PSU can handle all the components.

Re: need help on compatability issue

Lol....I didn't know that either a year agoStick out tongue but ever since I started hanging around egg, I've learned some..its basically the slot or socket your motherboard supports that decides its compatability with other parts and they are usually stated very clear on the specification. So no compatability issue here, just go for what you want and if u have any other questions, welcome backSmile
