Trying to decide on a monitor

I've been looking at monitors for weeks now and can't decide. I've narrowed my choices down to these 2 and would like opinions and thoughts on them.

    Thank you

If you can afford it, I'd definitely get the one with LED backlight...  The LED backlight really gets you the same kind of contrast ratios that you can get on a CRT, where blacks are black instead of grey and whites are so bright they light up the whole room.

    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

Re: Trying to decide on a monitor

I would have to agree with Sidicas here except for the fact the resolution is lower on the Samsung LED backlite versus the Samsung HDMI and not knowing what VC you are using makes it harder to say which would be best for what you plan on doing.

Re: Trying to decide on a monitor

The LED is on sale this week at best buy for 299.99 and the and the 240 is currently 309.99.  I want to get an ASUS 5870 when I start to build my new PC within the next month.

    Thanks Again
