    Hope this thread is not too dead. The same thing happened to me. I ordered a computer and the next day, the price dropped $50, and free shipping was now available. The difference was nearly $65. I will send a PM with the info. I hope that you can help. Thank you.

    Send your PM to Dom_Dom as I beleive that Jas0n has moved to other tasks as well.  Normally, you could also send a PM to Wyldstallyn but he is on vacation until November 9, 2009.  Another option is to contact Newegg CS and they should try to help you.

    Things are a little bit different now than when that very old thread you replied to was written.

    For that reason, I've split your post off into this new thread..

    Generally speaking, as an unwritten rule..

    If the price drops before you receive your items, and you notice it.  Then yes, you can get reimbursed the difference.. You may have to wait until Monday, but the person you should be PM'ing is Dom_dom.

     

     

    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

    I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

    So far as I know, if price drop happens right after the time the order is placed, u could always try contacting newegg to require a refund, usually they will honor the difference as long as the order has not been delivered, so go live chat now and good luckSmile
