Thanks for the reply... Yeah it's real. I read one person talk about their 3x3 setup and how above the desk was a good 10° warmer than below where he had a quad core over clocked.
I know it won't melt the paint so to speak, but if you have a +22" LCD, touch it and you can feel the warmth it generates. I can feel mine at 3 inches away and if I leave my hand on it for 30 seconds it will get to hot to touch.
Anyways, just seeing if someone has done some research.

The heat put out by a device is going
to be directly proportional to the number of watts disapated in its
operation, if you can find a wattage rating on the displays the one
with the lower number will run cooler.
Just need to look at wattage first.
