I recently got a new power supply that does not have a 3 pin cpu fan connection. I saw a place online that had a dual 24 pin connector but ended up being $25 after 6 day shipping. Does Newegg carry one? Would it be better to just get a mloex - 3 pin connector?

Most power supplies don't normally come with a 3-pin CPU fan connector. You're supposed to plug the CPU fan into the 3-pin connector on the motherboard. That way, the motherboard can control the CPU fan speed, speeding it up when the CPU gets hotter, and slowing it down to reduce noise at other times.
Well, he did specify "CPU fan", and, he mentioned that a molex to 3-pin converter would solve the problem. So he's clearly trying to connect a fan to a power source, not monitor the power supply fan.
Also, that is a really rare feature.

They don't? I've replaced 3 PSU's in the past 3 months, all different models, and they've all had at least 1 fan wire on them.
Yay, I'm an i***t. I completely missed where you said CPU fan. I blame it on halloween, 2 AM and lack of sleep.
Hm, only PSUs I've seen that have the motherboard CPU fan connector for reporting PSU RPMs are Antec PSUs.. The last few builds I did with Seasonic and Corsair PSUs had nothing of the sort..
