    Corsair CX400W PSU arrived DOA!

I just received the parts for my parents build a couple days ago. When I put everything together, It wouldn't power on! The fans didn't spin up! I did notice the keyboard light flick on for a second and then off. I tried the PSU in my PC and no power. Then I tried the paperclip test (using a paperclip to short the green and black wires) and the fan didn't spin up.

I made sure everything was connected (The 8-Pin CPU cable, the 24-Pin MOBO cable, the two hard drives and the dvd drive) and that the switch was set to the "I" position.

What should I do? How long would an RMA take? How about an RMA through corsair?

You could post your problem over here in the Power Supply thread if you want.  Maybe someone will think of something that you haven't yet.  Or, if you would like, you can contact customer service and have them set you up with a RMA.  It is usually best if you need it quick to have them do a RMA refund and then you just order the part again.

The overall turnaround time for a return is about 5-8 business days from the time we receive the shipment; (that is, 2-5 business days for RMA processing and 2-3 business days to expedite your refund or replacement).

Are you sure you bought a PSU sufficient to power the PC?

    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

You can do the same thing with a multi-meter.. All that does is make a ten minute task into a 30 second one.

If u r sure that the PSU is an DOA, u may contact customer service directly through live chat or email. it usually takes 2 to 5 busines days to process an RMA, but I suggest u contact corsair to confirm the problem first and then contact newegg if time permits.
