What is comparable to the old Q6600 intel cpu's?

The reason I ask, is I multibox alot. Currently been using two PC's but would like to go with a low budget system, that allows me to play 5 accounts of say WoW on one machine.

    looking here,

    http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Rigs

I see a lot of use for this CPU. what replaced it though, as I see it is no longer available.

would one of these that JVT noted in the build forum be workable for what I want to do?

Thanks for your time and help.

Umm that would be a no the two Regor's that you picked are not even close to the same as the Q6600. You would be looking at more or less something like this AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz Socket AM3 140W Quad-Core Processor - Retail 210.00, to even come close to the Q6600 proc.

The cache on the Phenom IIs don't really help that much.

Of course, it depends a lot on how much you want to spend too... If <50% boost in performance from a 2.6 Ghz Propus to a 3.4 Ghz Phenom II is worth twice the price of a Propus 2.6 Ghz X4 to you, then go for it.

    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.
