    4-pin (not molex) case fans

So, the motherboard in this computer has three 4-pin fan headers. One is taken by the CPU fan, the other two are free. The case has two single-speed 120mm fans.

Does anybody make a 120mm case fan that will plug into a 4-pin fan header? The only such fans I've found come with CPU heatsinks (which I don't need) and are, thus, far too expensive.

normal 3 pin fans will plug into the 4pin fan headers without any problems.

Yes, but they won't spin down, so they stay noisy. This is an HTPC, so noise is an issue.
