    Laptop ethernet port

So I got a Dell 14z very impressed just if you were wondering.  Recently Though I noticed how the ethernet port does not hold the ethernet chord. Now it doesn't click into place like it used to. While the connection still works well, the chord will sometimes just fall out or the port. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there anyone that can help

Are you sure it isn't your cable?  I beat the c**p out of my laptop and it still keeps working, I've gone through three ethernet ends, but haven't had any problems other than that..Usually the laptop is far more durable than the cable..

    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

    Re: Laptop ethernet port

I have the same laptop and the ethernet port never has given me trouble (although the power button wouldn't work so I had to send it in a few months ago).

I would say check your cable. Ethernet ports are pretty sturdy.

I guess your laptop port is broken then. Hmm

Call dell and you'll have to send it in for repair.

Look to see if it's cracked or something.
