Hooking up a printer to wireless router (wired)

I have an HP Officejet 6500 709a which I am trying to get hooked up to my wireless router.  I am using a linksys WRT54G v2 router.  I would like to hook up my printer to the router using an ethernet cord and be able to print from it wirelessly from any of my computers in the house.

I have done some initial research and it looks like I am going to need a print server in order to be able to set this up.  Does anybody have any experience in doing this?

I have never done this before but did a research on google and found this thinking it would be very helpful. now read it and see if it does help :)

    reviews.cnet.com:

If you're running Windows XP, you can simply go into the Control Panel, select "Printers and other hardware," then Printers And Faxes. Here, you can choose to share your printer. Then, on your two laptops, do the same thing, except select Add A Printer and select the networked printer. The downside of this setup is that the desktop PC will have to be on in order for you to print from either of the laptops.

If you don't want to have to keep the desktop computer running all the time, you have a couple of other options. First, check to see if your wireless router has a built-in print server. If it does, you should be able to connect your printer to the router via USB, and all the computers will be able to print wirelessly and independently of each other. If your router doesn't have a built-in print server, you can buy a stand-alone print server, which usually supports one or two printers. (Be sure to check that your printer is compatible with the print server first.)

Finally, if you're already considering a new printer, check out a wireless printer. Just hook one up to your wireless router, and you can print from anywhere in the house.

Wasn't completely what I was looking for because I wanted to move the printer away from the computer so that it didn't have to be wired to the desktop and it would open up some space.  However, its an ok workaround right now and its nice to be able to print from my laptops.  Thanks for your help.  I appreciate it.
