Re: Newegg Black Friday 2009 - Deal Request Thread

Free normal UPS shipping on anything for say 24 hours.  lol

Spend more than a 100, get 10 percent off the order.  Spend more than a 1000 get 15 percent or more.

Every 100th or 1000th order give away a free copy of Windows 7.

Do a "build your own system" deal.  Like put in an order for system components (hardware AND OS) and get a couple of free USB mem cards, or pack of DVDs, or a wireless USB adapter, card reader, etc.  Have members on here compile a set of Intel and AMD "systems" both basic and gaming as pick-able builds for this,  They can pick what build they want, would be able to change the drive sizes, ROM drives, and OS choice, as long as the mobo.vid, ram, cpu and case stay the same. Then they would qualify for one of the free gifts, etc.  Plus those systems could have a lower price point as a system, etc.

     Something to think about.

How about free shipping on all cases? I want a corsair obsidian 800D for my new i7 build bad but the shipping kills me  (and push the price back to 279!)

Or free shipping on orders over 100 or 200 would be great too.

Would also like to see the hanns g 28" sale that I missed back

Re: Newegg Black Friday 2009 - Deal Request Thread

Well, if nvidia can roll out their GT300s in time for black Friday, it'd be nice to see a discount on those...

Probably not going to happen though, and even if it did, nvidia wouldn't be able to keep up the supplies..

What I'd like to see is discounts and deals on Ethernet Laserjet printers.Gift

These cheap inkjets keep breaking down and/or running out of ink and/or leaking ink all over the place, and/or grabbing multiple sheets at a time,  and my dad keeps buying more of them Frustrated.. We've got like 5 inkjet printers now that are worth maybe $50 each and maybe one or two of them are  working..All of them are complete junk that my dad keeps buying from Wal-mart..  Would be nice to be able to get him a nice color laser jet that was Ethernet based and watch it last him 10 years on a single toner cart...

Oh, and Z-5500 at $300 and free shipping would be a ridiculous deal as well.. Even if you can't hit that price, getting as close to it as possible would be awesome..

Re: Newegg Black Friday 2009 - Deal Request Thread

I already have what I need but I think the simplest would be the following.

     1. Deep discounts on newer more energy efficient computer hardware. (corsair power supplies, Asus motherboards for example)

     2. The video cards one of the latest should be offered at a discount and some of the mid range like the 9800's and so on.

     3. Offer a "suprise deal" during checkout drop the tax the shipping or just tag on a discount for ordering on or after thanksgiving.

Re: Newegg Black Friday 2009 - Deal Request Thread

How about a sale on ATI's new graphics cards, like the 5850?  A lot of people are probably waiting for a good deal to upgrade to DX11 hardware.  You could get the sales now, rather than everyone waiting for nVidia's competition (in 2010) to push prices down.

A nice set of DDR3 RAM would be good.  Say, a 4GB set of DDR3-1600.  I'm looking to upgrade soon, but right now other sites have better prices on those sets than newegg.

The NZXT Tempest for $50 or $60AR would be a great deal, I'd certainly buy it.

And, if you're going to do a power supply deal, pick a good brand.  I'm sick of seeing Apevia units in the "Shell Shocker" deals.  Selling people low-quality power supplies isn't helping anyone.  Pick an OCZ GameXStream or StealthXStream, or an Antec Earthwatts, or Rosewill RX, Corsair, XFX, BFG, maybe even a Kingwin Lazer.  I'd bet you can get the best price per watt on an OCZ unit, you've run really good sales on those before(600watt for $20, 500watt for $15).  Or, you did have that Cooler Master eXtreme power supply (I think 600watts) on sale for $8 one winter.  While those are overrated by about 100watts, they are a good price for what they are(at ~$10, $20 would be pointless).

Re: Newegg Black Friday 2009 - Deal Request Thread

I agree with compwiz, I would like to see some of the ocz psu deals back.

As far as everyone wanting 58xx series discounts it really depends on what nvidia comes up with. The 5 series are already priced amazing in comparison to its competition so I wouldn't expect any farther price drops unless nvidia can make a come back.

All I want for Christmas is the Razer Naga!  More buttons than I have fingers, and it's a great mouse by a great manufacturer.  Unfortunately, it's also pretty expensive.  A discount on that and other gaming mice would make them great gifts for all the gaming geeks in my life.  If there were free shipping, that would be even better!
