Auzen X-Fi Prelude's problem

    Auzen X-Fi Prelude's problem

    I just purchased Prelude today, and I'm getting pops/static sound when playing music, video..etc.

    I'm using Logitech G51 as my speaker, and running under Windows7 64bit.

    I have download the newest driver from Auzen's site, and try switching PCI slot, but the noises are still there.

    Is there a fix for this??

    Does your onboard sound do the same thing?
    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

    I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

    and I have disable my onboard sound card

    Does the website provide other drivers besides the latest?  Try using an older driver.. Go back a version or two or use the driver that came with the card (if it came with one)..  If you see a WHQL driver download for Windows 7, try that one..    Also try turning your audio levels down in software and on the speakers, turn the volume up.

    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

    I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

    I think it's because the card is pulling off(well the devices connected it) more power than the PCI slot can supply. I seem to have had/observed the issue on several PCI sound cards.

    I may be wrong but I believe this is one of the reasons PCI-E X1 is a better choice for sound cards.

    Personally, I would return it and purchase a high quality PCI-E X1 sound card.
