    Looking for a new camera

I'm looking for a new digital camera. I currently have a fujifilm E900, which is a decent camera, but i think its time for an upgrade...

I'm looking for a decent point and shoot camera, with a bunch of useful features. I'm not a hardcore picture taker, but i do like to take them from time to time, and these include some close up shots... which is where my E900 encounters problems... I'm looking for a camera that can zoom and not produce really grainy pictures.

I've been looking at the Cannon SD1200, SD780, and the SX120. I've looked over all of these cameras and i think the SX120 is going to be the best bet.

    Anyone have any suggestions/comments?

Re: Looking for a new camera

    might i recommend the

    Canon PowerShot SX200

Im looking into getting this camera but im going to wait till black friday see if there are going to be any sweet deals going on. This point and shoot camera has a excent zoom for such a compact camera. The close ups are not grainy and its able to take picture of objects in motion. My friend has one and i jumpped at getting hands on with it to check it out before i purchse one and i was not let down at all nice solid camera and best bang for your buck i think.  Its smaller then the SX120 and has way better picture quality. I oginally was going to go with a nikon D60 but i changed my mind i dont think im going to get that into photography and the D60 is not a point and shoot camera.

Pvt. Avery "Angel" King: That's how it looks in the Sarges' phrasebook.

Pvt. Frank 'Dim' Dumphy: Yeah, but if we got one of the dots wrong it could mean "Sunnis suck" or something.

Pvt. Avery "Angel" King: As long as it don't say "Ram This" I'm cool.

There are a lot of good cameras on the market.  I would suggest looking into a cheap DSLR if you really like photography.  The performance of a DSLR is much better than any P&S you can buy,  I am partial to the Canon line of cameras.

you are looking for a decent digital camera that can zoom? Then take a look at Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3, which has a unique optical system that makes it one of the only pocket-sized ultra-zoom digital cameras. Another option is Canon PowerShot SX10 IS, the most robust and versatile camera, its 20x image-stabilized zoom lens works great. Last is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 (my favorite). It offers great performance, features and picture quality.

I am currently using Canon PowerShot SX100IS It is a very good super zoom compact camera. It takes crisp pictures. Then Canon rolled out Canon PowerShot SX110 IS which I am not really conveiced. :-)  this year,Canon launches PowerShot SX120 IS super-zoom, what impresses me most is its DIGIC 4 image processing. It really produce  superb-quality images.  Yup, I like it.
