First I had Norton 2007 that came with my motherboard. Then I tried NOD32 freeware. I still have the worm and tried avast freeware to see if it would remove it and didnt. I have a friend that uses windows live one care and he says he couldnt download the war game because it stopped the download.I Got friends on newegg that play this game that havent said they had any problem with it! One doesnt use any antivirus at all and no problems. Some people say its Facebook and the games on it! Others say going to youtube that a trojan or worm is behind the MPEG, MOVI, files and music vidoes. I want some kind of security software that allows the game and (Stops) this LOL Trojan/Worm.I would be thankful of any kind of help deciding on a software security that isnt a hog on ram but will protect my computer! To find out if you have the Trojan/Worm wait till computer boots up and is done with everything then go into task manger open it up and it should say LOL!!!!!

You can't go wrong with avast. Google it. It's free as long as you register. I've put my whole family on it (100+). No viruses yet.

    I use Symantec/Norton Enterprise...but I'm paranoid.

Also I run repeated scans weekly with Ad-Aware and Spybot

I like both avast and avira. I think avira does a bit better job but uses more of your system and gives you anoying pop ups every now and then to buy teh paid for version.

Malware bytes also does a pretty good job of removing infections.

Combofix is great for really bad infections but has been known to blow out some system files and OSes every now and then lol

    Re: LOL Trojan/Worm,,,,Help Please!!!!!

I use NOD32 and haven't had any problems with it.

I've also used: Trend Micro PC-Cillin, Symantec (hate it), and McAfee (so so)

Most people I know (meaning people not on the forums here) recommend NOD32 or Kaspersky (they used to be the same company). A friend of mine did a test of scanners a while ago at a company he worked with, and these two ranked the highest. Symantec and McAfee were at the bottom. Plus, Symantec is a resource hog. I think McAfee has gotten better, though; the test he did was a while ago (two or three years at least)
