Re: has marriage or relashionships affected ur gaming?

While my fiancee was in college she would study and I would game and it worked out well..

Now that she is working and home as often as me she wants every waking moment with me. I have to budget my time between gaming and with her. Normally I find a way to get her to do something else. I try to get her ot hang out with her other friends so that way I can play games... Otherwise she just wants to spend time with me. .

But yeah, she still complains. I play games only like 2 days a week now.

My wife doesn't mind if I spend some time in a game.  She will even join in from time to time.  Still, it depends on the game.  She didn't like "The Darkness" so I haven't been able to play lately.  Since I just finished it though, I should be able to game more now.  I may start playing "Overlord: Dark Legend" next so she won't mind that so much.

I have to try to work in my gaming when my wife isn't home. Most times I can't even surf the web when she's around

Capt, I read this and laughed.  Do you realize that you are having the equivalent of an extra marital affair with your games?  Don't get caught. Smile

Haha, never thought of it that way. But she knows that I play games while she's out doing whatever so it's all good =D

My fiancee rarely jumps in, most games I play are shooters, but she will watch me play from time to time. She enjoys watching me play Call of Duty 4 and Fall Out 3. She also likes watching me play final fantasy because its like an interactive movie to her. But its still hard to get her to play games. I tried to teach her how to play Call of Duty 4 but she wouldn't, she complained everything moved to fast.

Yeah.  Can't get my wife to play shooters very often.  She used to get into Ghost Recon but she didn't get into any of the sequels.  Though these days we play on console we still both look forward to Diablo3 but when it comes out we still won't have a rig that can run it.

Eh, my Fiancee most likely wouldn't play that. Shes a master of NIntendo games though. She can beat every mario and has them all memorized, and a god of tetris.

Shes good at 2D games... thus why we got her a DS. She also likes turn based RPGs, ie, final fantasy. But she hates the complexity of the newer Final Fantasies, with junction systems, materia, and so forth.

My wife was playing The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion but she just stopped playing one day and has yet to pick it up again.  When she plays it she's in for hours just like me but getting her into a game is difficult.

Re: has marriage or relashionships affected ur gaming?

I don't see anywhere marriage or relastionships will affect gaming, but on the other side, gaming seriously affect some relationships and even marriages. one of my colleagues' boyfriend spends every whole weekend in gaming and she is now thinking about breaking up with him...they quarreled a lot, but her boyfriend got so addicted to and could hardly spare anytime for her, so...the relationship is ruined.

If you can't have at least a few hours a week to yourself, then I'd say your SO has an unhealthy attachment to you. I mean, that's pretty much hanging on you 24/7.

Re: has marriage or relashionships affected ur gaming?

My girlfriend plays WoW and a lot of small flash-based games so it isn't an issue 99% of the time. I canceled my WoW account but she's still playing so it annoys me when she goes on and on about something they added to an in-game holiday. It could be worse...

Finding someone who has played all of the Blizzard games I have is pretty convenient. Geeked
