    Why would you need such a fat Blu-ray drive?
    Reasons to get Windows 7:
    Snap to maximize windows
    Formatting huge hard drives
    It's Vista but better

    The ASUS M4A78-E sucks, don't get it.

    Some cases, such as the one for my Acer AX1700-U3700A don't have much clearance in the drive bay area.  I too am looking for a bluray drive that is 170mm or less, as any longer and it will hit the processor heatsink.  I don't believe there is such a shallow bluray drive out yet though.  All the drives I have found so far are 185mm.

    Get a 5.25" external enclosure for it then, then you can have even more mobility with it. Or a new computer case.
