    Bing Cuts Itself a 10% Slice of the Search Pie

    Bing has done a great job since it launched just before the summer. look, an increase of 22.1 percent over July, giving Microsoft a 10.7 percent share of the search market.  really nice work microsoftYes keep it upApplause

    Snap to maximize windows
    Formatting huge hard drives
    It's Vista but better

    Most of that share is eaten from Yahoo and AOL.   Also, one is to consider the fact that each new PC ships with Windows, each copy of Windpws has IE as default browser, and IE default search is Bing.   Which leads me to believe that growth of Bing can be primarily attributed to indifference of many new PC buyers who don't care enough to change the default, as opposed to active adoption.

    There's a lot of innovation in Bing that Google missed out on..  Videos that play from the search page was probably one of the best ideas for a search engine I've seen in a very long time..


    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

    I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.
