    weird login popup box for newegg product page

    I just cut and copied a link that someone posted about a home theater system and a pop up box saying to enter username and password to access the site

     see screen shot below

    had to forcibly close FF via the ALT-CTRL-DEL, could not get rid of the box

    Humm that is strange tried IE and Safari and it does not pop up at all.

    Humm the link you provided there distancia does popup with user name and password. As for the URL it could be somehow linked for the employees to learn about the products and somehow ended up on Neweggs site by accident. That would be my guess.

    Hi Joe,

    I confirmed with our Web Management folks that this was a known issue, but it was fixed as of this morning. Hopefully it shouldn't occur again in the future!
