    Re: tv tuner????

I use Hauppage HVR 850 which is a external USB one with just the coaxial input. it works fine. Not amazing quality, partially because i think im running at a higher resolution than the signal (i think that makes sense)

    Re: tv tuner????

yeah. this is for a comp that is used for mild gaming and i just dont want to buy another tv for the bedroom where i keep the comp. all i want to do is hook up the coaxile and watch tv. but the reviews that i have been reading for these cards are very fuzzy. i dont have a set top box upstairs but i do have a coax. so i just want to use the computer as the set top box and the monitor as the tv. i know i wont get all the channels but im hoping for at least 1-50.
