    Wireless Network Printer Problem

    Hello all,

I have an HP 7410 all in one printer that I cant seem to get connected to an office network. The printer is wirelss and I have inputed all the information into the 7410 and have printed a test page that shows that it is indeed connected to the network. I have installed the drivers and software on the PC. When he goes through its setup, it says that it has found the device and properly connected. When I ping the printer, it has zero percent packet loss. So it is definitely communicating with the printer but whenever I try to print a test page or print at all, I get an error. What could be going wrong here? What can I try?

    Thanks a lot.

Just to clarify, the first test page is one that the printer prints itself just to show that it is indeed connected to the network. The second test page is from the PC.

    Re: Wireless Network Printer Problem

Did you enabled it "trusted program" in your security software and even Windows forewall. I had to do both with the 6500 Wireless, and it worked like a charm after.

    Re: Wireless Network Printer Problem

I actually went as far as to completely close all security software, turn off the windows firewall, and put the IP Address of the printer in the DMZ of the router. When I ping the printer, it shows that they are communicating but just doesnt want to print for some reason. I am really thinking along the same lines of some software or firewall blocking this communication. Thank you for the idea. Anyone others?
