I just found this news Disney to buy comic book powerhouse Marvel for $4B

And I want to share with you guys. I'm speechless, I will say something later.

For now, all I can say is 'busine$$ i$ busine$$'.

Oh Jesus, its going to ruin it even worst. Now there will be hardly any violence. They would have been better off with DC. DC is more Disney styled than Marvel.

We can't take anything for granted anymore.

About the lack of violence, maybe nothing will change. Disney owns Miramax Films (being Tarantino one of its directors),  Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures and Pixar. They know how to keep certain things separated from the Disney channel.

Still we should expect changes in Marvel.

I can see it now...Marvel vs. Disney! All of your favorite characters starring in the most ridiculous clash ever!

I believe Disney decided to buy Marvel because they wanted to expand their audience. Right now, all I ever hear about is Hannah Montana and that's definitely not the only source of revenue that Disney wants.

I read this and while I do have some fears this could also be good as there will be even more capital to make the marvel movies I want to see.  ^_^

Marvel didn't really need more capital to make thier movies. They have been so successful that Marvel actually made their own Movie company, Marvel Studios.

I don't see a whole lot of change happening for the most part, but if Disney takes Marvel and pushes them into slave style labor and ruins the adult themes of the Comics, I am so gone. I like comics like the Punisher and Spawn (who isn't marvel but just an idea of what I like).

 Lets hope Disney realizes that Marvel is good the way it is and doesn't try to make drastic changes.
