    Crappy CD-R's

I recently bought some Memorex CD-R's rated for 52x. I found out today that they won't burn at anything faster than 8x. Not sure what it wrong with them, I can burn other brands, and even other cases of Memorex without problems, at full speed.

     Here is my drive:

You check for a firmware update for your burner..  A lot of times a burner will burn to certain brands of media much better than other brands and a firmware update would take care of that..

    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

About all you can do then is to try them on another burner, or give them to someone.
