What happened to Newegg shipping format? I used to be able to order like 6-7 things, pick 3-7 day... but I'd have it usually the next day or day after. I'm right in eastern PA, and the stuff ships from Edison, NJ. Well I ordered some RAM to help someone with their computer on Sat Aug 9th. It's Friday and the last message on my tracking is "Tendered to USPS" somewhere in Maryland. I could have drove to Edison on Sunday and picked it up myself (two hour drive). Should have just went to the blue and yellow, now my RAM could be anywhere... more than 5 days to go across a state line? Probably won't get it until Monday haha. No delivery on Sundays.

 It's not even worth saving the 5-6 bucks anymore... by the time you get UPS shipping I can just go to a retail and pick it up. Just some customer comments for all you customers out there.

Newegg, I hope "you are listening" like your posts say.

Yeah, you totally got it. It's not worth saving several bucks to wait for like forever for ur packages. Go with UPS or FedEx next time.

Well they are defending it, because you can choose other shipping options when you place your order. I personally do not care if the shipping is "free" if it is a bad shipping service it needs to be fixed. DHL is known for taking forever and the packages arriving damaged.

The first time newegg sent me a package by DHL, I went nuts, but now I check to make sure that the orders I place qualify for "free" UPS shipping. A great way to do this is buy a couple of different items at once, or check the options because the last order I place for a copy of MS Office gave me the option of both Eggsaver or UPS Ground for free shipping.

It's not that it's lousy shipping service, it's just that you want it to be something that it's not. You wrote it yourself, you want 4-7 day shipping to be 2-3 days, and NE suxx b/c it doesn't happen? lol.

You're talkiing about 2 different things here though. A kit of ram weighing less than 14 oz is going to go Eggsaver, unless otherwise noted. You ordering 6-7 things , and still eligible for free shipping would have to have gone UPS, b/c it would have been too heavy for Eggsaver. That would gegenrally go 3 day guarenteed, so you're even off on the 4-7 (that's eggsaver). So you're squaking about 2 different scenario. At least understand the differences.

No one is saying it is the best, we're recognizing the fact that to get Free Shipping this day and age with fuel prices and all, one has to wait longer for these light orders TO NOT HAVE TO PAY ANY SHIPPING!!.

If one doesn't want to wait, then they have to pay more. bUT LIKE i'VE BEEN SAYING, if the free shipping wasn't AVAILABLE, PEOPLE WOULD PROBABLY BE MOST LIKELY GRIPING ABOUT HAVING TO PONY UP 7-8$ FOR (opps) the next level service.

If you can get memory for less or comparable at a brick and morar, more power to you, what are you doing ordering on-line then?

And once again, we have someone who wants to accord actual distance to ordering and shipping online, like Newegg should break rank and send a shipping on foot to deliver the darn thing!!!  We all know trying to help someone understand that one is...................................

The sadder thing is, this order won't even be actually late until after the 19th, but let's not even go there with the OP.
