    Saved system specs

How about a system put in place so that the system specs can be in our signature or something more permanent so that we do not have to enter it every time we post or when its relevant? And also make sure that we can edit it on our profile page as well. The ability to integrate links to the corresponding manufacturer page or even the NewEgg product page would be nice too.

To save space on the forum, you may want to have it as a "reveal" or as some forums call it "hidden" so that when you click a button, you can see it. Otherwise, it's hidden and saves page space.

You can post your system specs (along with photos) in your blog and then post a link to your blog in your sig.

    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

Agreed, EggXpert allows a pretty good size Siggy, most systems can usually fit in the allowed space. Big Smile

    Re: Saved system specs

I'll try the blog link as a workaround, thanks. If possible, I'd still prefer the functionality described by Philospher and was just about to post pretty much the same request.

Since the forum prompts us to include system specs in every post, if we've taken the time to fill it out I agree there should be an option to reuse or autofill that info. Making it hidden and expandable is a great idea too. This would save space as suggested while still making it quick and easy to glance at system specs. By comparison a blog link opens a whole new tab or window which will become tiring after while. Another disadvatage (or advantage depending on how you look at it) of a blog post is that it's unstructured while system specs is a structured record.

Other suggestions/requests for system specs: (1) Change the label "CPU Pps:" to "Purpose:" and (2) add a field for Case. BTW, I want to say the EggXpert site is awsome. These are just a few small wishes from some of your newest fans!
