To be fair, all the weeabos are ruining anime for me and a lot of people. Geeked

Besides, try to find a 2D animation studio in America now (that's not kid-oriented). They just don't exist, so they go to Japan. Or if you want to get technical, Korea too.

I think it looks effing amazing. If you don't like it don't watch it.

A general disregard for rules, and a healthy helping of because I can.

Easy, look at the style.. First off, he is fighting a typical stereotype Japanese villian who wears a WWII outfit and controls a futuristic army.

It's no secret that during the first part of the last century Walt Disney's style and techniques  influenced Japanese animation. Later they did even better than us. It'd always been back and forth. The result is usually great. So let's enjoy it. There is an audience that would watch the anime, but would not buy the American comic or see the American film. Because it's not their style.

From an economic point of view this is very smart of Marvel.

And let's face it, it looks awesome. Thanks for posting the link.

God the wolverine anime is so terrible.. I wanted to cry when I saw it. Which is why i have such low expectations for the Ironman anime because its made by the same company....

You know these 2 projects are being done by Marvel studios in order to bring these two heros to a larger audience, ie anime fans and Japanese, right?

Marvel is just working w/ anime studios so they do not mess up that special anime feel that the Japanese and anime fans will be looking for in a new anime movie.

It will not have the same feel as an American super hero movie but it should not, as it is anime and not cartoon designed for older "kids"

Then why did they make wolverine look so freaking stupid... He isn't wolverine.. Hes Generic Anime Guy # 2 with claws... They aren't even fighting typical villians. They are taking a character concept and drastically changing it. Its a terrible idea, marvels choice or not...

Its not going to introduce Wolverine to anyone. Thats not wolvering. Doesn't have his looks, his attitude, or his fighting style. Its Generic Anime Guy #2 with claws. Thats what is terrible about it.

Re: Japan ruining an American Hero!!!!

Apperantly Im the ONLY person who thinks what they are doing is a terrible mockery of the characters.

I dont mind Iron Man as much as I am aggitated with what they did to wolvering. Look at the Halo anime. They are keeping the same character design and features as well as the attitude, and they still pull it off very well. Why on earth did they have to 100% redo Wolverine leaving nothing but his claws?

Re: Japan ruining an American Hero!!!!

If you are ok with what they did with wolverine that means you have no reason to have any problems with what they wanted to do to sailormoon...

If you can watch that sailormoon and still agree with the statement "They are just trying to attract a new audience, its a good idea" and agree that this sailor moon is a good idea, then I may believe that your opinion is based on a good idea rather than just being an anime fanboy/fangirl

Re: Japan ruining an American Hero!!!!

I agree the design choices for wolvy will make mei not see that one, I will see Iron Man though as I have followed him from grade school.  But not all people think the same type of things are cool.  In Japan some of the gangs drive in purple colored minivans w/ cute anime girls in fighting poses painted on them.  In the US I would love that mini but it would not invoke the cool gang attitude it does in Japan.

People are different and like different things, that is why people and their diversity are the greatest things int he world!!  Groovy

Re: Japan ruining an American Hero!!!!

My real only biff with the Iron Man i have is the villian... I feel like I am watching another generic gundam anime when I see that Villian. The animation is better than anything America has done animation wise (not saying much seeing as the US no longer does animation well). But its just too Generic on everything else. Just like wolverine.

Wolverine is pretty much Saban Moon...
