Just recently got stationed in the middle of nowhere North Dakota and when winter comes around I want beat the freezing cold by trying out Champions Online or maybe Aion if Champions isn't any good. My comp was built couple years ago by friends and now I'm on my own I want to know if I can be able to handle it or if it's time to upgrade. Right now my specs are
AMD Athlon64 4000+ 2.4 GHz
Mobo is ASRock 939 Dual SATA 2
2 gigs of ram
Geforce 6600 GT
And the specs for recommended specs for champions online is
- OS:Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7
- CPU:2GHz Dual Core or Better
- Memory:2GB RAM or Better
- Video:NVIDIA GeForce 8800 or Better / ATI Radeon HD3850 or Better
- Sound:DirectX Compatible Soundcard
- HDD:5GB Free Disk Space
- Network:ADSL / Cable Modem or Better
- Disc:DVD-ROM
- Driver:DirectX 9.0c
What I don't know/need to know is if I upgrade my graphics card do I have to upgrade anything else? Or should I upgrade all the other stuff first or where to even begin really. Right now I've just been looking at video cards really but I don't know how to see what's compatable with what I have. So any info would be great. I know newegg is the place to go for comp parts so I'm trying this out to see if I could get some info. Any help would be great.
