What's the best free antiviral software?

AVG used to offer a free version of their software, but it appears that they don't anymore.

What's the best 100% free (NOT free to try) antiviral software?

AVG still offers a free version I install it 5 times a day at work lol.

But I agree with Tracer, I prefer avast on my computers.

I used both AVG and Avast it is okay but after use my non free Kaspersky, never go back to Free AV. :-) You get what you pay for but I have to say some free AV rocks.

I use http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ from time to time, free online scanner. Nifty in its own right, AVG and AVAST are good to.

I suppose each to their own. I hate kaspersky. Was great when they first came out but they quickly went the course of norton and mcafee and lamed everything up.

Malwarebytes Anti-Virus, AVG, and TrendMicro's Housecall (Online Scanner). I use Norton, but the cost is $69.
