What is the fastes and longest range router on the market it must transmit at least 900 FT.

I am cerently using a NETGEAR WPN824 IEEE 802.11b/g RangeMax Wireless Router

The wired conetion works fine but the wireless ceeps gowing out.

Can some one help with this problem?

Upgrade the firmware.

 

Im looking to replace the router with a faster one any advice?

 

 

 

 

 

 

Something that you want to keep in mind about Wi-Fi, the farther you get from the WAP the connection drops regardless. So one way to fix this issue is use a bridge/repeater less then 150' from the primary router. Standard 802.11g range actually comes to 150' so some people will add a Db gain antenna on to the router to get past 150'. Also things can interfere with the signal as well walls especially stucco with that nice chicken wire, wire, open electrical near the WAP, cell phones, portable phones, Bluetooth, ect anything wireless can degrade signal.

I think if you want the best range you should get a Linksys Wireless N router. Then put dd-wrt firmware on it and increase it's transmit power a bit and you'll have a great router. DD-WRT also has great features. You can have 4 different SSID's, if you runa hotspot you can earn money from DD-WRT automatically putting ads while other browse, you get graphs for different stuff, and a bunch of other features that I don't know what they do (like RADIUS).

Get an N router if you're trying to get that range, you don't wanna be on the fence with it with a G router.
