I think they're still in the process of shifting products over to the .ca site.  Not sure what that entails, but apparently, they can't just "copy" it over, or something.  I remember a couple of people having success with the product request on the .ca site.  Since they can only do so many products at a time, if you ask for a certain something, they'll put it at the top of the list to work on.

    Good luck!

Re: Newegg.ca seriously lacking computer components

What IamHydrogen said. They've come a long way since they opened on the number/range of products available compared to the US site, but they've said they still have a ways to go.

Also, when it comes to watercooling, note that if its a kit comes with any liquids, they won't be able to sell it because of customs rules. So items like that will never show up on the .ca site. Don't see why just waterblocks and tubing won't eventually pop up though.

Yes  Scooder, good catch, forgot about the liquids and such going over the border.

    Hi All,

Scooder is 100% correct about the liquids rule for over-the-border shipments.
SSDs, on the other hand, can be shipped from the US to Canada. We added some to Newegg.ca this morning!

    Cheers!

Re: Newegg.ca seriously lacking computer components

The whole point of going to newegg.ca is to not have to pay ridiculous brokerage, customs fees, and exchange.

Suggesting to use newegg.com is completely ridiculous, why would you even say that.

Obviously if newegg.ca doesn't have the products we Canadians are looking for we would turn to other online stores which are located in Canada. I'm not sure on this forum's policies regarding mentioning competitor stores, so I won't name specifics.

Although I agree that they could use some more stock. I was kind of surprised to not find thermal paste/greese as I need some new stuff. Oh well.

Re: Newegg.ca seriously lacking computer components

Once again to make it clear, anything consisting of or containing even the slightest amount of liquid/gel cannot be sold on NewEgg.ca right now. This is because their warehouses are in the US, and customs does not allow those things to cross the border.

Also of note, Canadian customers cannot use the .com version of NewEgg. This is nothing new, they opened the .ca site so that we could shop with them.
