    Futile Little Language Toolbar!

The Language Toolbar is annoying!  Here's how to get rid of it, if you didn't already know.

    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;306993&sd=tech

To close the Language bar (using Classic view in Control Panel):

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Regional and Language Options.
    2. On the Languages tab, under Text services and input languages, click Details.
    3. Under Preferences, click Language Bar.
    4. Deselect the Show the Language bar on the desktop check box.

maybe we can do it in the Vista with the same way. I will give it a shot after work.

It's actually even simpler than that to remove [though it can sometimes get reactivated.]

Right-click on the taskbar and choose -toolbars-

locate the "language" toolbar and UN-check it....and now it's gone.

[if you do not see it, then the language toolbar IS NOT currently on the taskbar and these instructions are not needed.]

Yes,  true for as long as you have the PC on. When you restart though, the language bar is there again if you simply uncheck from the task bar > toolbar.

LOL....it shouldn't be that bad.  I see it return on systems I work on about 50% of the time after a windows update.
