    Questions About a network Security Cam

    Hi i would like to know if it is possible to set this up where it tilts and pans automatically?

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16881102023

    Or would such a feature only be available in more expensive units?

    Also would it be possable to set it up as a Live Web cam?

    Sorry for the Newb questions but i wont get it till the 4th of febuary or hopefully earlier. Im new to this item,never had one before.

    Are you implying you want it to follow any and/or all movement around it automatically (auto-pan/tilt)? If so, I'm not sure it could do it natively, but if you or someone else would be willing, I bet you could write a script/software to auto-focus on the movement.

    Live web cam for...? As in you want to allow ANYONE access on the internet to the webcam or what because it does have the ability to broadcast live to a computer to my knowledge.

    yes allow anyone to access it,with guest account of course. I mean something like a normal webcam kind of thing.

    Hi sorry for a very late response, it works well but had to put it away cause i needed the outlets, But when i was using it it worked great. Kinda wished i had the wireless version but how can they call that version wireless when ya need to power it with a plug in the wall?

    I got a true webcam which is this;

    it works great and the video quality and pictures look real nice.

    Thanks.  I just ordered a Lynksys webcam.   Newegg was out so I got it from Amazon.com

     http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16881334003

    It seems to have everything but pan/tilt/zoom but I will not need that for what I am doing with it.  I needed wireless, motion detection and remote viewing over IP.
