Orange Box through STEAM. Do it!!!

Trust me, you won't regret it. That, and COD4.

No, that means go to steampowered.com, get an account, and buy the Orange Box. It includes Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 Episode 1, Half-Life 2 Episode 2, Portal, and best of all, Team Fortress 2. Team Fortress 2 will bring you at least 10x more playing time than crysis will. Trust me, that game is extremely fun.

Re: Need to get a new game.....

TF2 and CoD4 are the best for online gaming experience, Crysis has mediocre online to be honest. That game in general was just a benchmark game, not so much of a hardcore game.

Cant go wrong with the HL2 series, portal was awsome, but has little replay value. but since it comes in the huge bundle its well worth the money.

Yep. For what it was, I freakin loved portal. It was a game quite unlike any other game. It was very unique.

Another game I would recommend as a GREAT single player experience, is Bioshock.

If you're looking for RTS games (real-time strategy), go for Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander, or any of the blizzard ones.

All those games the previous posters have recommended are very good ones, but we still have Halo, NFS11 and Assassin's Creed.

Portal is a fantastic game. Short, but great. There was a 40-map pack released a few months ago that gives you a good reason to play the game again. Lots of new challenges, lots of new ideas. Don't have the link, but just do a google search and you'll find it.

Re: Need to get a new game.....

Indeed, I want to get the Orange Box just for Portal, and the Half-Life 2 series (Need to get the original Half-Life also and it's expansion packs)...

Total War (ROME: Total War or Medieval 2: Total War and their respective expansion packs are sweet, the older ones are nice but no need to bother with em) series is also extremely fun if you like RTS, wargames, and a little Turn-Based-Strategy, it has some depth to it...Star Wars: Empire At War and it's expansion packs are also really cool if you like RTS games and Star Wars...

Sins of a Solar Empire is a freaking awesome game, it's a 4x game (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate) strategy game, a bit RTS elements and a ton of other stuff added in, here's the review: http://www.maximumpc.com/article/sins_of_a_solar_empire

CoD4 is awesome, great MP, SP is also really fun...

Crysis is nice but I wouldn't buy it for replay value..UT3 is same old same old, not much different between it and Unreal Tournament 2004, except for pretty graphics...

Spore isn't worth the price its at currently, and is also pretty controversial when it comes to rather it's good or not, rather the folks who are reviewing it are rating it correctly, ect, and it takes such a short time to play and when you could just as easily play Portal or Peggle, lol...

Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed are also pretty popular right now...

And many, many other games out there, and a few ones soon to be released, such as FarCry 2 or Fallout 3...Big Smile

    Respectfully,

    PROACEX1

Re: Need to get a new game.....

TF2 and Company of Heroes are my favorite games of all that I have (Orange box, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Age of Empire 3, Company of Heroes, Call of Duty 4, Assasins Creed, Alone in the Dark, Rainbow6 Vegas2, Counters Strike 1 and Source, NFS Prostreet) I get most games from gifts by buying other stuff. Im guessing WOW is a good game becuase its popularity... but Ive never play that one befire.

Re: Need to get a new game.....

To those of you saying that HL2 has little replay value, I beg to differ. I play it over and over again and still have loads of fun with it. As for Portal, it's absolutely amazing. You should get Portal: Prelude. I'm stuck on a level, but it's loads of fun. Exactly the same sort of thing as the original Portal, but I think it's harder. Quite frankly, though, I'm not a big fan of TF2. I hate how cartoony it looks--I know, lots of people think that's amazing, but I don't. I prefer TFC and Fortress Forever.

I loved Crysis. I found it more challenging than most other FPSs I've played, and it's got good replay value in my opinion.

The Command and Conquer series is great if you like RTSs. There are some things lacking in C&C3, but I think Red Alert 3 will more than make up for that.

If you like sims games, try Spore. A lot of people don't like it, but I love it. I find it to be loads of fun
