I'm thinking about getting an HDTV for my dorm. My room's not huge (about 24x12) and I may be moving into a campus apartment next year. I'm just trying to decide if I should buy a TV over Christmas break or next summer. I don't want to buy something now that would be much cheaper next summer. I could always survive with a cheap tube television for this year.

So, a few questions: When do you think would be the best time to buy? Would I have much benefit from waiting a year? How big a screen would be recommended?

Just buy them when they are on sale. A 30"-35" LCD should do for you

I found for smaller LCD screens, 720p doesn't make any difference. SO a 32" will probably be a good choice

You have a computer, right?

If I were you, I would go to movies durng Christmas or enjoy myself on Internet surfing.

I would just wait for the moving to the campus department and see if I need to buy a TV then.

 

I agree with the last reply but do not buy something which will not fit into the compus apatment or you would have wasted money. also next year every thing will be chaeper then this one if you are comparing the same thing to the same thing and not apples and organes
