I just received my Antec 900 yesterday it 4 fans already installed (2 in the front, one at the back and one at the top) and itcomes with 3 fans in boxes, I already bought a 120mm FM123 do I still need it or should I return it? I didn't know that the case comes with all these fans.

Not sure how much you pay for the fan, but RMA took off 15% of the price + shipping then you won't get much money back anyway.  Depending on your heatsink if the heatsink doesn't come with a fan or the fan it comes with the heatsink is weak, then you can attach the new fan to the heatsink.

The reason the 900 comes with 3 extra fans is that Antec found that a few of the fans did not work at the low speeds so instead of testing thousands they just put 3 extra fans in there. And as I've found, you can never have too many spare fans and parts lying around for when the need arises.

The 900 comes with extra fans?! I didn't know that, I was planning on getting one of those and was going to order another 120mm fan for the side panel, so I guess I don't need to order that if the case comes with extras.  Unless they're different sizes.

I personally enjoy extra fans, keep a CPU nice and cool never hurt! There's a couple of things bad about it though.

1. It can get loud. My current set up is..kind of loud.  It's not horrible, just yeah.

2. Fans blowing on you, tends to get a little chilly. lol.

Yes the Antec 900 should come with 3 extra fans. Though it is not guaranteed as they may have sold off their stock off possibly defective fans but as of 1 month ago they were still putting 3 extra fans in the package.

I purchased an Antec 900 this weekend, and there were no extra fans.
