    Is Xigmatek any good?

I've been seeing this brand lately on newegg, and they seem to have really great specs at decent prices. Can anyone comment on their quality and reliability?

xigmatek is very good, the cooling performance is amazing for the price. just a bit louder than something like a zalman though.

Thanks a lot. Anyone else have any opinions about them? What about their performance? I have a Raidmax 730watt and people say it won't even perform close to 730 because it's such a low quality PSU. How does xigmatech measure up to Corsair and Thermaltake on performance? I'm assuming Corsair and Thermaltake are good brands.

dont know too much about their PSUs, thatd be something to ask compwiz, hes like a PSU pro. but from the reviews that  people are posting on them they seem very decent and would be something to consider.

and yes corsair and thermaltake are good brands

That's certainly true.  I'd advise replacing that power supply soon, as it could damage your computer, or case instability.

from what I've seen, Xigmatech power supplies are very similar(if not exactly identical) to the Thermaltake Toughpower power supplies.  That is a good thing, and if you see a Xigmatech at a lower price than a comparable Thermaltake Toughpower, you might as well get it.

Corsair is a good brand, every power supply that they sell is of good quality.

Thermaltake is a bit more mixed as a brand.  Their high-end ToughPower power supplies are good, but some of their Purepower models, and all of their TR2 power supplies, are rated for higher wattages than they can handle.

A good place to look up power supplies is the Eggxpert Tiered Power Supply List.  In it, many common power supply brands are sorted by their quality, from tier 1(excellent) to tier 5(junk).  Anything in tiers 1 to 3 would be recommended, tier 4 is acceptable, and tier 5 is just junk.

So, looking at the brands you mentioned, Raidmax is listed in tier 5, Thermaltake Toughpower is in tiers 2-3, Thermaltake Purepower is in tiers 3 and 5(depending on model), Thermaltake TR2 is in tier 5, and Corsair is in tier 2.  The Xigmatech power supplies, MC and HC models, are in tier 2.
