    Memory question

I am building a new computer and I was wondering if my Ram, which is DDR2 800, will work with my chosen motherboard, which calls for DDR2 1066.

And I was also wondering if anyone could tell me anything about the compatibility of all of these parts, Thanks in advance.

    Re: Memory question

When you paste links in the specs, it cuts off some of the numebrs at the end, so all the link does is default to all MSI boards. Need to list full product, or paste link in post body.

    Re: Memory question

it will be fine. ddr2 800 will work well on ddr2 1066 slots. and if you do have a decent memory, you could even overclock it to 1066. but it will not give you a hefty performance.
ddr 2 800 is enough for most of rig, you can set ddr:fsb ratio to make yr rig performance better.

    Re: Memory question

It will work well, ddr2 800 can be used in ddr2 1066 slots. And you won’t feel the difference with ddr2 1066. And personally speaking, DDR2 800 will be enough for daily use. The advantage of ddr2 1066 will only act when overclocking.
