    DDR2 533 on a mobo taking DDR2 667 or 800?

Would I be able to install DDR2 533 memory on a motherboard whose memory specs say DDR2 667?  What about DDR2 800?

    Thanks.

As long as the memory is 1.8V

yes, the voltage is the only thing you need to take into account.  the mobo will support the ddr2 533 RAM.  and  if ddr2  800 can also work in a ddr 2 667 slot. but it seems that you ddr2 800 ram  will work as ddr2 667.

Dido...ram is rated for the fastest speed it can operate at and remain stable, so running it at a slower speed is not a problem. DDR2533 can work with that 667. XD

Yeah, it would be OK to install ddr2 533 RAM on ddr2 667 slots, only need to notice

whether the voltage is matching. Meanwhile, other memories will also work with the speed

of ddr2 533, as the system will always run with the lowest but safest speed.

By the same token, if you install ddr2 800 in ddr2 667 slots, the ddr2 800 RAM will run at

    the speed of ddr2 667.

    Should auto-clockdown to 533.
