    Get more performance from drive

Please do not bring out your torches and pitchforks but I'm running 64 bit Vista Ultimate (dont worry I dual boot with XP). Now they got that little "windows expierence index", yes I'm sure it's quite rubbish but my thing is I got a 5.7 out of 5.9 . The score is determined by the lowest subscore in this case it's my primary hard drive. Everything else is 5.9's all the way. My question is since I'm an enthusiast and I want to get that 5.9 and possiblt increase performance in my rig, what can I do aside from getting the latest Raptor to increase that performance.

I thought about WD"s 640 GB drive it had seemed to be a good performer and cheap too. I will eventually get the Velociraptor someday but in mean time I dont see it this week or next. My current primary drive is a 500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200 rpm.  I have defragged, cleaned and even a fresh install and still shoot same score. The layout of the drive is 3 partitions. One 60GB each for the OS's and res is storage which is more full than it's not.

Thanks for any ideas or help.

Really 5.7 out of 5.9 is very damn good. A Velociraptor will bring up the score but being only 0.2 points away is not that big of a deal some will not get past 5.0. The ones from 5.0 to 5.9 are able to do anything.
