    D-Link DGL-4300 Long Term Reputation

I'm looking for feedback on the long term reliability of the DGL-4300.

I would appreciate input from anyone who's had the product longer than 1 year.  I know about the features that it has, and I'm not looking for recommendations of alternative products.  (It's already being shipped, so I'm beyond the point of finding alternatives)  So if we could limit the scope of the thread to reliability of this particular product I'd appreciate it.

Let me know if it fails, or reboots, or loses its config, or Gamefuel quirks, or interesting tidbits in firmware revisions.

My intended purpose of the device is routing of course, but mostly QoS for Skype and other VOIP communication methods, and also high speed LAN file transfer.  It won't be gaming often.

    Give me your thoughts.

Well, I have the device now, so I guess I'll just have to see for myself.  One immediate note is that Gamefuel is the QoS, and not a layer that runs on top of the QoS.  I imagine I'll be able to work around this little quirk with a little time, and setting up the QoS profiles appropriately to work around this.  So, if you're looking for QoS features that don't automatically prioritize gaming packets, then you'll probably want to get the DIR-655 instead if you like D-Link products.

I'm happy with the device so far.  However, it has not yet been in a production environment.  I'll be integrating it into its intended network soon, and then we'll see what this thing can do.
