    Data/Internet plan costs (?)

What do you pay for your DATA/Internet package through your service provider?

I use SprintNo and do not currently have the data package... unlimited is $30/mo... ouch

I've got the $69.99 package w/ unlimited texting.  2 phones on the plan LG Muziq & soon to be RUMOR(white) Yes

I've had sooo many problems with Sprint in the last 4 months... but that's not the topic of this thread... What do you pay for your data/internet per/mo??

Actually its pretty universal between the companies for the most part. But 30 a month is stretching it. With AT&T its 15 a month for unlimited data as long as its not a blackberry. Verizon, they work their plans a little different, but its about 15-20 dollars also to add on a plan. For example from them for 450 minutes runs 60 bucks, with unlimited texts texts. 80 bucks for unlited internet and texts.

T-Mobile is pretty much the same thing as ATT.

as for ATTs total pricing it goes like this. its 40 bucks for 450 inutes, and then 15 for unlimited internet, makes it 55, cheaper then Verizon by 5 bucks, then you add on the unlimited text for 20 bucks, makings it 75. So in the long run ATT is 5 bucks less. So for the most part they are all pretty close, Verizon is slightly more expensive on the text messeging side.

TracFone, I pay 5 cents a minute AND $5 a month.  Even if I don't use it, I still have to pay $5 a month to keep the service active (life-line).  Any time I buy, rolls over infinitely month to month as long as the service is active.

Best bargain out there, not very good reception, but great for somebody who doesn't use their phone much.

The Motorola C261 is a pretty sweet phone for $30.

Data access is 10 cents a minute and you can only access TracFone's data services, but you can receive files through e-mail.

I was able to e-mail my phone ringtones that I made out of Midi files for about 10-20 cents each (data access costs) from my Gmail e-mail account.  Now I've got over 25 ringtones on my phone and they costed me less than 5 bucks in data transfer fees to get them on there.

Internet on a phone is silly in my opinion Big Smile

If you want mobile Internet, do it right with a laptop and EV-DO.. Internet on phones is just so.... Meh....Ick!

Actually internet on the phone is a genius idea. Last night I was in downtown Seattle going to the bite of seattle food fest, and I needed to get home. Used my phone to find out where the nearest bus stop was that went to my area, what time it came, and I used the free GPS google offers to find out where I was and to show me where the stop was. I wouldn't want to carry a laptop just for the few times I would actually use it. I think i will take my hand held device thanks.

I like to keep tabs on the cubs games when i'm not by a tv/internet, i also read CNN, and i watch comedy videos.  I'm on a regular AT&T plan with 450minutes, with unlimited internet and 200 msgs all together, it's $60/month + taxes Sad.

Heh, I have a blackberry, and unfortunatly, ATT has a special rate costs for a Blackberry data plan, since RIM also charges them because apperantly when you have one, you go onto the "Blackberry" network and not the ATT network... Oh well, next time I am gonna get a windows 6.1 phone, or the BlackJack 2 and upgrade it.
