    Hard Drive Set up?

How do you go about setting the hard drives up so that a 80gb drive contains the OS and the 640gb drive contains everything? I have never done anything like this before and was wondering if you could help or point me towards a topic where it explains how to do it?

Just install your OS on the 80GB hard drive and save everything on your 640GB hard drive. What are those drive? the 640GB might be faster than the 80GB

their the same speed, go ahead and install the os onto the 80GB and once you get into windows and get everything updated and setup, go to disk management and partition and format the 640gb and use it for everything else.

    Re: Hard Drive Set up?

As long as they are plugged in. When you install WIndows, you get to choose what drive you install it on

    Re: Hard Drive Set up?

Yup it'll work no matter where its plugged in. I generally do my primary hard drive on the first sata channel, my secondary on secondary sata channel, and my dvd drive on 3rd (Though on the build I have now i only have 1 hard drive). But thats just my ocd preference, it'll work anyway you like it.
